Escape from Wonderland

(Picture from toxel.)

I've always wanted to learn how to rock climb. (Why haven't I? Hmmm. Good question.) I just wish I could find a climbing wall like this one, which was recently installed at a Tokyo fitness club. It was inspired by Alice in Wonderland and features climb holds in the shape of frames, vases, and bird cages. Very, very cool (but perhaps a little too tasteful--the designers could have gone a bit crazier if you ask me). And I gotta wonder: Is it really safe to climb in tights and a skirt?

That's the coolest rock wall I've ever seen!!! It does look a little like something out of Wonderland, but the colors are too boring and the frames are too straight.

That is so awesome!!!!!! I would love to climb that! That would also be a great workout! Couldn't they add some color to the wall????

SWEET! Now what would really mess with people's heads, would be if the parts of the wall that didn't have handles were clear and an image of assorted things falling upward was scrolling up behind it. You know, like those night lights that are supposed to look like an aquarium with all the fish scrolling by? Very disorienting, I would think.

The shift button on my keyboard is in open rebellion. I'm having to make do with CAPSLOCK. This is possibly the result of the sad fact that my keyboard is not a water-dwelling creature.

That is awesome! Ha, I love it.

BTW, I had to share this...Whenever I listen to Good Life by One Republic (one of my fave songs) I can't help but think of Iain and Haven. *swoon* :)

Thanks for the great post. Luv the blog.

Dear EQ:

You have my sympathy over your keyboard plight. If your machine is a desktop of some kind, you might just want to search "waterproof keyboard" to find a replacement. Unfortunately a) most of the "waterproof" keyboards don't type as nicely as the regular ones (and some are downright floppy, as they also roll up for easy storage and transportation!) and b) if you've a laptop, you won't be able to fit one of the inexpensive floppy ones in.
