Dumpster Diving!
If you're visiting New York this August, you may have the chance to do a little dumpster diving. Literally. Pools made from dumpsters will be lined up on Park Avenue between 40th and 41st Streets. Each pool will be eight feet wide, five and a half feet deep, and twenty-two feet long. (Those are some big dumpsters.) There will even be lifeguards, changing rooms and portable showers!
I gotta say, this sounds pretty awesome. Though that particular stretch of street is literally the last place on earth that I'd want to be spotted in a bathing suit. (I used to work around there.)

Sounds... Interesting...? Oo' That's just plain awkward XD
That sounds like oodles of fun!! I wish they had that here it's sooooo hot! ):
I might just have to take the four or less hour drive to New York to do this. Although I have a perfectly fine pool at my house.
Yeah, I might not want to walk around NYC in a bathing suit. :P But the IDEA is great; who would have thought of dumpsters as swimming pools?
I think thats pretty cool cuttle fish poast please
i mean im still ijij78 not 87 got mixed up cuttlefish unite!!!! lol☺ ☻
That's odd. :)
Has anyone heard of the chupacabras in Texas? Authorities killed two animals that some people say are the beasts that, according to legend kill goats and suck their blood. I think they look like hairless coyotes.
awesome, though i would never do that. you used to work around there? i think somewhere i read that you used to be an advertising executive, or something like that...
ooh, thats weeiird!!!
sounds fun though.
freeze-dried seahorses from egypt found in beijing airport? crazy!
whats the name of the video you posted a few years ago where the gut would ask for directions, the would switch persons ask to see if they would notice? I know its random, but still, pleas4e answer. thanks.
@ Kiki: If they've got 2 dead ones, have they figured out what they are yet? Then again, "authorities"...I'm thinking that scene in Indiana Jones with that warehouse full of mysterious objects...bureauocracies, sheesh.
About the dumpster diving--just whose bizarre, if hilarious, idea was this?
And knowing New York, no one will blink.
Speaking of New Yorkers not being wierded out by anything, I heard something about a woman being attacked and killed, in full daylight, on a busy street, and people were walking by and not helping? Sounds too awful to be true, but...?
Wow!
Thee's a medical syringe and needle maker (Becton Dickson) that uses porcupines in some of their ads....
Kind of awkward but /i'd go swim if I could be there.:)
I read the rest of the article and I honestly think that the whole thing about coveted and mysterious invitations given out to dumpster dive on a special blocked off street really should go into the next Kiki Strike.
