One thing my friends and I love to do on halloween (besides trick-or-treating) is scaring people. We leave a bowl of candy on a person's lap, who is siting covered in a sheet, and then wait for people to come the person covered in a sheet can jump out at them. It's so simple, yet amazingly effective. One time this group of girls ran halfway down the street before they came back laughing!!

Happy Halloween!

Hmm, well, one Halloween, when my sister and I were about seven, we decided to decorate the living room. (Actually, we were going to make a Haunted House, but that didn't really work out.) Anyway, we were making the normal Halloween decorations, tissue ghosts, pumpkin drawings, disembodied limbs, when we decided we wanted candles. After we got our moms permission, we strategically placed the candles around the room. Later, my sister decided she wanted to collect the melted candle wax. Armed with what was going to be a tissue ghost, she carefully lowered the paper into the candle, were it immediately caught fire. Surprised at the sudden flame, she dropped the blazing tissue on the carpet.

And that is the story of how my sister set our apartment on fire.

Ok so for halloween I was a 3 punch version of my self, my friend was a ninja with a bloody knife, my other friend was a killer, and the last one was an old fashioned vampire. Ok so we go out into my friends front yard and whenever a car passed, I (or my friend) preteneed to be dying one was killing, one was punching the person in the stomach and the other pretended to suck the victims blood. We has 10 cars pass by a slowly like we were physcos... It was AWESOME!!

Well, I watched Sailor Moon. Not very halloween-ish, but no one came trick-or-treating so I got all the candy ;)

I decided at the last minute to go trick or treating even though none of my friends were going...
the lack of lights here sufficiently scared me out of my wits, and I got really paranoid about walking into peoples' houses especially since the streets are always so empty. (and you have to walk...so...much here!)
My sister went as Ringo Starr (then as James Bond) with some aviators and your moustache (!) :D and I cheaped out by going in my fencing kit...haha.
Anyway, after like 30 minutes we decided it wasn't worth it and went home :P
the candy they gave out was pretty pathetic too, hahaha.
I really like that painting btw :D

I went to see the movie Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. For a book made into a movie (a vampire book, at that!) it wasn't half bad. Though a bit creepy during the actual freak show.
Then I went Trick-or-Treating, and I was the Mad Hatter. One of my friends said that where she used to live, you could only go trick-or-treating until you were twelve. THE HORROR! (I don't even eat candy, but dressing up is fun!!)

Alice Cullen said...

I was trick-or-treating and someone gave me a dollar 4 best costume. Also a kid in my class was dressed up as Batman and was dancing to Thriller in the art room.

I had lots of fun trick-or-treating. (Yes, I still trick-or-treat.) I was putting a roll of toilet paper in my bag in case it rained and my sister's makeup ran, and my mother saw and thought I was planning to TP someone's house!

First post!! YAY!! I went trick-or-treating on this one street where a guy sprayed me w/ water but i was carrying an umbrella for my costume (posh englishman)

this guy dressed like a vampire was hiding behind a bush and another guy had a rope tied around his waist and the vampire guy was holding it like a leash and leash guy jumped out at me and my friends and my friend screamed loudly for like ten seconds and the weirdos behind the bush kept in character the whole time and they were really weird.

Yes! Me and a big group of friends all went trick-or-treating just for the fun of it. My one friend, Meave, invited us to go in her neighborhood. So we went and we got to one house and she explained that these people always did a haunted house. But this year there wasn't one. Or so we thought. As we turned around to go to another house, a guy dressed up as a very life-like grim reaper snuck up behind us. Everyone else noticed him coming but me, so they weren't afraid. When I saw him, I spazzed out. I started screaming "Make him go away, Meave!" because I was so freaked out. So, I got teased for being the one girl who actually got scared at the "haunted house".

ShatteredLaughter said...

I scarred my sister and her friends half to death when they came up the driveway!
I switched spots with a headless dummy we had set up and then when they walked by to get candy I jumped out at them and chased them around. They screamed so loud! It was hilarious! After they all stopped screaming they were laughing though so I guess they weren't too scared.

I went to see Paranormal Activity... and one of the previews was for a movie called "The fourth Kind"
Freakishly eerie, I must say. If you haven't seen the preview, you should definitely check it out!

i went to a halloween party. we went trick or treating for like 15 minutes but no one in my friend's neighborhood was home so that was kinda useless. we went back to her house and watched "Shaun of the Dead" and like a half-hour of "The Descent" which was the stupidest movie i have ever seen

when i was little the people who live down the street would set up a scary noise thing and i was walking up to there door and it made a sudden loud noise and scared the daisies out of me. so i threw my candy bag up in the air and all the candy flew out. i tried to collect it but i missed some and these jerk kids stole some and then what was left (it was dark and i couldn't see) was eaten by the people who lived there. i was friends with their daughter and i was mad! now they make fun of me for it all the time!

OK this year I went to a haunted house for the first time ever(yeah, I'm twelve, I live in the USA and I haven't been to a haunted house before except for this year, so what? I haven't been on a roller coaster either.) Anyway, after we went through all these different rooms with dracula and people under beds and a room filled with rubber feet, arms, and a cat body (still rubber!) we went into it and we walked into this surgery room (I.Hate.All.Doctors.) and whenI walked in there a surgeon jumped out from behind the door and chased me into a corner and was holding a fake knife covered in blood (real or fake?) so I screamed. Long, loud, and hard. I am serious, I nearly kicked that doctor. So, when i finally got out of there we went throught a door that lead to a path outside. A dark path. And a guy in a clown mask came out from behind a tree and started following us ( I had,had enough and,I. Hate.Stalker Clowns.) So after a couple of feet I turned around and said "I'm going to punch you in the face if you don't back off, pal!" (Feisty?) needless to say, he backed off. Please post your opinion on my comment to anyone who reads this.

@ Holly, love the picture!! XD
@ gnat, your friend rocks my socks. i know what i'm gonna be next year now!!!!!
well, i had a pretty crappy halloween, i was a spice girl with 2 of my friends (i was baby, my friends were posh and sporty)
one of my REALLY annoying cousins kept saying she was Ginger and it was sooooo annoying, i wanted to strangle her!!!! (she was supposed to be a horse rider, i thought she was supposed to be a hip-hopper...) what we did instead was we got in the front seat of the car- the one she "reserved" for herself. When my friend dressed as sporty climbed into the front seat of the car- i swear the little brat screamed like a banshee!!!!!!!!!! it was fun just to annoy her a little bit.... we later went to an outdoors halloween party where i got soaked, and shunned my crust cause he didnt dress up... and the adorable little boy who used to be my friend but then thought i was crazy (i was doing school service hours and named a banana Hector and made Hector sweat) was really nice and offered me some hot chocolate!!!!!!!!! :))))))))))

my friends and i went trick treating. Usually on Halloween, the street we were on would be packed, but it was really weird because we were the only people there and all of the street lights were off. Only one house on that block was lit so we knocked on the door. The guy at the house was super creepy. He asked where we lived and where we went to school so we just sprinted away from his house! Of course my flashlight just happened to run out of batteries so it was just the perfect horror movie moment...! Then we ended up at these two houses that were obviously in compettion. They were really freaky!!!! my friend and i were too chicken to go in so our other friend had to go get our candy for us. Then we went to the house across the street and there was a thick layer of orange fog on the lawn. they had lots of shrubs, so i was expecting someone to jump out at us. We rang the doorbell and no one was answering, so we knocked, and still, no answer. We turned around to leave, and suddenly this guy jumped out from the bushes and chased us with a chainsaw!!!

I almost wet my pants...

i hit three buildings and came home with six pounds of candy! we knocked on this lady's door, who i had seen last year, and we heard this creepy witch cackling sound for like, five minutes and my friend hid behind me. the cackling got closer and closer, and then the lady came up behind us in this really authentic witch costume and had black teeth andall that jazz and scared the, uh, well uh, she scared us and then she took out a bowl of candy and said "now, no one's coming tonight, so i'll give you a lot, butif you have nut allergies, you're on your own." and she cackled and left. CREEPPY

Me and my friends "accidently" left our comunity when we weren't suppose to. We were talking about going into the gated comunity next to us, but none of us knew the code to get in. A car drove past and went into the comunity and before we knew what we were doing, we ran to make it in before the gate closed. The was only 1 house that giving away candy, so we went there then started making our way out. We didn't have the key to open the gate. It was getting really dark and the gate wouldn't open and no cars were coming. We had to climb over the gate (it was TALL!) for one peice of candy.
.... it was worth it

Happy Halloween!

at my shcool we had an assembly and the dance selective did thriller. but they added something to the beginning. they deciced to start the dance by doing the macarana, get through one rotation, then scream and fall down. after that they did thriller. and apparently, one of the kids in my class walked in to the classroom right when they finished the first part(the sceaming and falling part.) and even though the whole middle school is offically crazy, this was strange behavior even for us.

Nothing much happend....
Except while trick or treating we ran into these guys from school were were totally stoned, and they were really creepy (duh) and one of them decided he would have less of a chance of getting cought if we split off with us, and none of us could tell him no. It was really scary cuz we practically ran into a cop car and we thought we would get busted because even tho we weren't high (duh, why would anyone do that?) he was and he was with us. It was horrible! We didn't get caught... and we got him away by pretending to go into some "friends" house (we had no idea whose it was) so he left. Idk if he got cought... he wasn't at school today but I think we would of heard it...

There were drunk people we knew too, same thing happened.

There was also a REALLY SCARY haunted house!! It was awful! they grabbed my friend and stuffed her in this bloody bathroom and wouldn't let her out!!

my best friend came over, and we told scary stories in the dark(some of which i wrote), tried to scare people the way "brilliant middle-schooler clara" said, and we followed 5 teenagers who were sneaking around my neighbors construction site, and porta potty. we were positive that 5 boys, all dressed in black, who like delinquents, had nothing lawful to do in such a place. we never found out what they were doing for sure, because they left and my mom wouldn't let us follow them too far away.
AND, when we were telling scary stories under a blanket, we had a flashlight on, and our hands turned red. but my friends hand had a bunch of freaky blue lines, forming letters like I or Y, which looked REALLY scary. turns out they were just veins....

Anonymous: I was a mime too! It was annoying because at school i couldn't NOT talk because of my classes. There were these boys dressed up as Ozzy Osborne ( I know-he kept going around saying this wasn't McDonalds and screaming for Sharon XP) and the other was dressed up as a 60's gang guy- you know, with the leather jacket and white shirt- and the gang kid said "Let's annoy the mime. Let's make her talk" so I felt wierd- I mean, when Ozzy and a gang member come at you saying their gonna make you talk, you overeact- so I jumped up and kicked him in the shin. This guy also has something against girls - he always calls us "girly wimps"- so when I kicked him he got really surprised and ran for his life , causing him to trip over Ozzy's cape and making both of them fall on the ground. It was pretty funny.

Belated though this is, I have a story.

I went trick-or-treating with my absurdly wonderful boyfriend (our cover story was that we were chaperoning his little sister and nine of her little girlfriends) and we stopped at one of the houses several blocks down his street. We knocked on the door, and a woman opened the door. Then, without warning, a man in a horribly nightmare-inducing mask jumped out from behind the door at us. In retrospect, it probably would've been a helluva lot scarier if he hadn't been clearly buzzed and holding a half-full glass of wine. His wife said as she handed out candy, "He's not scary--he's just an idiot," to which he replyed with the smoothness that can only come from mild amounts of wine, "We're disguised as a bad marriage." And then the door closed, and we walked away laughing.

I daresay that it was one of the best Halloweens of my life.
