Another Installment of "If I Only Had a Yard"
(Previous Installment--in case you're wondering.)
Jeremy Reid is the coolest dude in Newcastle, Oklahoma. How many guys have what it takes to construct their own personal roller coasters in their backyards? About ten years ago, while he was still in college, Jeremy began building the coaster of his dreams out of plain-old wood and nails. Not only did he have no experience with roller coaster engineering, he'd never built ANYTHING before he started his project.
The coaster cost $5500 and took four years to complete. But it works! Read more here, and be sure to check out Jeremy's website.

wow! that's amazing!
Cool!
Reminds me of how Amelia Earheart built a roller coaster off her roof when she was like nine or ten, but then her parents made her tear it down.
HA! In Austin we have yards!!
But that coaster is SO COOL! What I would give for it...
that'd be cool. great for parties or impressing future in-laws. buy now while supplies lasts! (i'm just joking if you didnt know. but i bet you did.)
I hope it doesn't go upside down XD
btw- I changed my name from ookamishinzui b/c its too long!
Do they give rides? =P
Cool! o^w^o (I wanna build one now too! XD)
Whoa! I WANT that! Man - I wouldn't have the patience to do something like that.
But hey, at least I HAVE a yard...
~Skyla
i'd love to make that!
Cute title!
And I had no idea about Amelia Earhart-that's awesome! xD
By the way, what happened to the old commenters...Theatre, and some others?
SWEET!!! Id ride it!
:)
Nice...
I have been craving the too-high-hill-coaster feeling lately. And I'm a bit bored...
Jin Ai: They disappeared mysteriously. Joking. I have a feeling they're super busy these days--some of them are very politically active.
A lot of them changed their names, too, I think.
hope it's safe
I want to be like that. Maybe one day I'll build a roller coaster, or something even better.
Ananka: Do you knit, by the way? Or sew? Well, if you don't, Betty might find this interesting. I found a few interesting websites about recycling plastic bags in very...creative...ways. xD
I've been knitting a bag made out of cut up plastic bags - I'm a bit late for Earth day, but here are a few of the websites if anyone else is interested:
