Dear Aria the Cellist:

I'm with you about the "almost complete" thing. Stupid publisher waiting more than a year to release Kiki Strike III: The Darkness Dwellers. Kirsten, did they even ask about an outline for Kiki Strike IV?

@Aria and Robert: I agree completely.

Also, I was rereading The Empress's Tomb the other day and realized that Cecilia Varney is Sarah Winchester of the Winchester Mystery House. I wasn't sure whether to be indignant at her being transplanted to NYC, or flattered that Kirsten picked *our* mad old lady to import. Probably the latter.

Oh, and the other day I spotted an audiobook of The Eternal Ones at the local library. I was wondering if there were audiobooks of the Kiki Strike books...I did some digging, and it does look like there's one in German as well as possibly one or both in English read by someone named Martha Harmon Pardee.

However, they're extremely difficult to find and even Amazon.com is convinced they don't exist.

Real or no? And why are they so elusive?

EQ: There are audiobooks in German, but not English!

Dear EQ:

I forget who said "Good writers copy: Great writers steal," but they were onto something. So the Winchester Mystery House (TM) (link goes directly to the page about the house) got transplanted into NYC? Big deal -- it's a great setting for some serious spook-crawling. By the way, every time I get miffed about the arduous task of vacuuming, I just think about that place. Those endless stairs!

I read "All you desire" in two days and there's no way that's the last book of "The Eternal Ones". How many more are there going to be?
