Sold: Unicorns, Yetis, and Flying Kittens

The Brading Experience, an unusual museum on England's Isle of Wight, recently closed for good, and the contents of the building were auctioned off yesterday. Which means that anyone in the market for a yeti or a flying kitten should have been in the UK. (Darn!)

According to legend, the unusual beasts were collected by a mysterious Professor Copperthwaite who traveled the world in the 19th century, searching for curious creatures. (My ideal job!)

Indeed. Because being an author of mega awesome books is definitely nothing in comparison to searching the world for strange species!

That Yeti is definitely something.
Although you'd have to admit that it may be somewhat disturbing to have all of those creatures staring at you in your bedroom when you're trying to sleep.
But, really, would anyone exhibit unicorns, yetis and flying kittens in their bedroom anyway?

I would!!! I think it would be cool to have a kitten with wings in my room . . . yeah, I'm strange. :P

DAAARRRRNNNNN! I should've been in England. I was just there not too long ago! (Haha, I wish...) So sad that they closed. No one appreciates the weird and wonderful anymore. So sad...

I think having a yeti would be awesome. It would definitely be an excellent addition to the collection... I need a creepy mansion somewhere to exhibit my treasures. Anyone know of one going dirt cheap? (hahahahaha and I mean dirt cheap--I only have about $400 to my name.)

And I would love to have a few of those bat things floating around. They look like very good pets. xD

Flying kittens...

Hmm... Love to own one, but only if they shot lasers out of their eyes like the ones from LASER CATS!

Awww.....those are so adorable!!!! and that cat is almost like a kitty-version of total from maximum ride! (super awesome series; second only to kiki strike or hunger games) I LOVE LASER CATS! "who will win in a world of laser cats?" hahahahaha

Well. We know what the next step is, don't we?
Who's ready for a giant irregular gathering - in which we shall all fly to the United Kingdom and skillfully acquire the unicorn, yeti and flying kitten from their various new homes?
(although I'm pretty sure this counts as international robbery)

wow.... I am so shocked! How can something of such monumental importance to society close!!!???? Did the Washington Monument close? The Smithsonian? The Museum of Bad Art? The world is obviously going crazy!!

But seriously, I have a flying cat. Except its alive. It crashes into doors. Its name is Noodle. I ,mean it. Except it doesn't have wings. Which can take to mean that it doesn't fly, or that it is like Superman. Take ur pick. I think I know what most of u wil choose.

Hmph. Typical British imperialist-era stuffy gentlemen "scientist"--he had to stuff his zoological wonders! News flash, to stuff something you have to KILL it!!

MushroomCloud: Yeah, the stories about killing unicorns always have some otherworldly penalty--seven years of bad luck, death in the family, black plague, no one ever trust you again, complete extermination of conscience--take your pick. Killing a unicorn...yeah. Not good for your health.

And if it was an accident you usually have to go on some quest and probably die and only succeed if you really regret it AND are smart and noble and princess-attracting enough.
