The Latest in Adventure Sports

What do you think of when you see the picture above? My guess? It's not surfing. But these days, "volcano boarding" is a sport that's growing in popularity. All you need is a rupture in the earth's surface and a board. Just hike to the top of your local active volcano and slide all the way down. By the time you reach the bottom, you could be going up to 50 miles per hour. It's that easy (and dirty and dangerous and hot)!

Read more and check out the pictures and video here.

(What sort of thing would I like to do? Check it out here!)

That sounds about as fun as it does safe.

I don't think the first link is right... unless its really about ways on "How to Feed and Care for Orphaned Kittens" instead of volcano boarding...

As cool as that sounds, I would probably not do that in a million years.

just another irregular sport, along with:
*scaling buildings
*breaking into high-security facilities
*Running through New York, chasing a bad guy in heels (it's not that impossible to run in heels)

You'd be surprised how many sports involve a board going down some sort of slope.

doing a zip line is awsome! i did it over the summer except we had to climb up a 60 ft redwood and zipline all the way down. I did it twice. very fun and scary (but whats life without a little fear?) :)

That is so scary! I can't even surf on water! But zipping through the treetops looks fun!

I rescued the cutie pie kitten yesterday. We all thought it was dead, but I gave it heaps of milk and it woke up, and we kept it in the house, under the heater, while the parents were away. Then the parents FORCED us to put it back outside in the freezing cold weather! AND NOW IT'S DEAD! If we, humans, freeze in this weather, how is it possible that a little, newborn kitten would not?!
It's so sad. Why can't animals be treated fairly? Why do people think it doesn't matter?!!!!!
