Here's Something New and Different

Okay, I'll admit it. This makes my Halloween egg experiment look downright pathetic. The blogger from Flee Alaska recently decided to sample an unusual food product that he discovered at his supermarket. (Why is the price tag in Japanese?) Tuna eyeball. I commend him for his bravery. I wouldn't touch that if my life depended on it.

Sequel to story excerpt

The street was dark, the cobble stones under my feet were slippery a whoman was walking twords me I had worked with her husband. I smiled she was looking for it she was looking for her macine. She looked up and saw my scarred face. Her face froze glaring at my eyes. I could not sence the danger of a blackjack she had hidden in her coat arm. I laughed and said "still looking for your husband?"
She screamed and hurled the black jack at me hitting me above my eye. I fell backwards, my scull cracking against the cooblestone street. She jumped on me and screamed in my ear "give it to me give me the machine!"
I laughed "it is not so simple, I can not just give you the machine! It is no longer in my organization's hands! You must go to Vienna to get it there is a store there called 'Der mond' it is there I had nothing to do with it other then reaping the rewards of his stupidity. If Samuel could hardly get it to work why would he?"

I'll have to say, that is pretty cool. hehehe! In science a while ago, we dissected cow eyes, and I still have the cows lens. (I was digging through my old stuff and found it and said to my brother "hey look! it's a cow eye lens! he was creeped.)

Indeed he is of the brave ones. Mmm, tuna-eye sandwhich, waaay off the traditional lunch scale. Though today, I tried a tiny piece of lamb paunch, which, in other words, is Lamb GUTS(or so I'm told). Muwahaha :[ It was chewy, and had tiny little bumps on one side of the the tiny piece.

Yesterday we had to get a book from the library of a certain genre and my friend was doing realistic/historical fiction and I told her to get out Kiki Strike and she said all the stuff in it (rats that eat people, spy girl scouts, etc.) could never happen. I told her it wasn't true that it couldn't happen, but she didn't believe me.

the sent of lilacs filled my nose as I walked into "der mond"
A man with a bad face was behind the counter. "the lilac sent cost one us dollar, but for you a pretty lady only $0.50"
"No I just want to return this" I said as I placed a metal scorpion on the counter. "leave this place, never come back."
I listened, well sort of I walked around back and found a pile of crates stacked up nearly reaching the ventilaton shaft. I climbed into the dark tunnle an a blast of hot air hit me in the face, I would need to be carful not to catch on fire. As I crawled forward I noticed a shaft that lead downwards. There was bearly enough room for me to turn around to go down the shaft feet first as I repelled down the shaft I heArd the faint hum of a macine under me. I would need to stop here, luckly there was a grate I could see out. The man had gone down stairs and was looking at the macine in intrest it looked nothing like it had the tubig was gone and most of the wires had been seaverd. He wasn't going to get anywhere today so I wormed out of the shaft onto the street. There was a boy here dirty, short, and wide eyed "what?" I said irritably
I didn't need him involved in this along with everyone else.

(I will now write at the top of my comments *The Cat in the Closet* as my screen name)
I have dissected a cow eye before, and did you know that behind the pupil there is a hard, clear, spherical lens? I tried squishing it, but it refused to be squished. A tuna eye would be fun to dissect too, I wonder if the cow's eye and the tuna eye have any similarities? I will study it in the pursuit of science, but I wouldn't be caught dead eating that. Eating anything remotely squishy is not my thing.

You know, I've heard that a giant squid's eyes are the size of dinnerplates or something...Wonder how many strong stomachs it would take to suck one of those down?

Irregular Kiki said...

Anonymous / Cat In The Closet: I diessected a bull's eye and it had that green lens that refused to be squished.

When I was in Japan this summer, I had plenty of "interesting" things to eat... like a soup with a ball of dough in it that was filled with baby eels (i think it was eels...) which still had EYES (*shivers*)

Omg, I just finished Kiki Strike 2 (it was just publiced in Swedish) and it was - of course - AWSOME!!! Kirsten Miller, you are my heroine!

Just one thing... Since I first found this site I've been convinced that it holds some typ of hidden link / code somewhere. I've searched a lot but never found anything. Have I searched for nothing?
Becouse if there aint something like this, it should be!

Very brave. However, being a life-long vegetarian, that is a little beyond what I am willing to eat. I don't even eat fish. Now I feel a little sick, mainly because I was sitting behind someone reeeeally sick who kept talking to me. Joy to the world.
