Oh god! I'm so upset that I don't live in NY right now. :( I totaly agree with Ms. Bookworm, come to Stockholm!! *puppyeyes* me and Ms. Bookworm could give you the best tour ever. Please? BUT, I am trying to mannipulate my parents so that they will let me go to NY, or at least go there with me. And then I am going to find you, no matter what it takes. ;)

What are you doing?
I'll try to be there!

Thumb Biter said...

I'll try to convince my mom to let me take the subway (and get lost :P) alone to some random place in Queens...wish me luck!

Are you giving a talk or something?
Since most of us on the blog can't go, would you blog about it afterwards and talk a bit about it?
Thanks!

Btw, I've cut my hair in the haircut Betty Bent has on the back of the book, and i Have a pair of HUGE sunglasses so my friends (well, E-star and her friend) say I look like her! :)

OMG!!! OoO IT'S IN NEW YORK!!! THEN I MAYBE ABLE TO GO!!!! I LIVE IN NEW JERSEY!!! TT-TT but my parent's will kill me, my piano class ends at about 3 pm and it'll take us atleast one hour to drive to New York....

sakura said...

what are you going to DO there?

Kirsten Miller said...

Jin Ai: I think Flushing is probably pretty darn safe. I have to get out there myself, so when I figure out how, I'll post instructions in case you can make it!

Kitty: That would be awesome!

Everyone who asked: I'm going to be talking about underground places and what they mean to me (heh heh). No seriously, I'm going to talk about what inspired the shadow city--and also the underground world featured in BOOK # THREE.

Dear West-Coasters, Swedes, Aussies, and Southerners: I will get to you eventually, I PROMISE. (Probably the Southerners first, though, cause that's where my parents live.)

Thumb Biter said...

DARN, I forgot, I have fencing thursdays :( :( :( :(
AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
And I looked for instructions; it seems like there's a 30 minute walk from the subway station...now, a thirty minute walk for most people is a four hour walk for me. -_- So even if I could miss fencing, I'd be about three hours late.
Oh well.
PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE blog about how it went and tell us a bit about what was in the talk!!
