Ika Tokkuri (shown above) are handmade sake bottles made out of dried squid skin. When warm sake is poured into the containers, the taste of squid infuses the liquid, giving it a smooth, mild taste.
that sounds... ummm...strange not sure what to think. i was about to make a blog but ifear punishment, so i deleated it right away.... dose anyone know how to make a website i personally think blogs are probably better, but noone would probably look at my blog so...yeah. i think the comment is getting too long. bye
Well, I have no idea what sake tastes like, as I abide by most laws, so I can't really say "Eww" or "Sounds Delicious". But it's awesome how many uses they got out of squid skin. :) The craftsmanship is great!

When I first saw that picture I thought "Is that squid skin?" and I was right! but sake....and squid thst souds weird.

gag! thats gross, but then again Im not a big fan of sea food. except sushi which is TOTALL sea food. oh well...
