Another Installment of "I Want One of Those!"

Penguin commissioned artist Jillian Tamaki to embroider covers for three Penguin classics. I love, love, love them.

Check them all out here.

These are gorgeous!! I really admire her for thinking of this idea! I'd but one for myself definitely but she probably wants a ton of money for them (which is completely reasonable considering she spent 2 months on them). :D

Wow. She...they...wow.

Coming up next: embroidered Kiki Strike covers...

There's an idea--we could make dust jackets / covers for one or more of the books. That would be fun! You could draw it, paint it, cut and paste pieces of colored or patterned paper or cloth...there's got to be a thousand ways to do it.

Those are amazing! I especially love the one for the Secret Garden. Imagine one for Kiki Strike! That would be uber-amazing. I imagine Kiki would look good embroidered.

That's some impressive embroidering. I can't even embroider my initials, as I found out in our sewing unit in wellness class.
