I've Finally Found the Perfect Sport

I'm happy to hear that competitive lockpicking (called "locksport") is becoming more and more popular . . .

Locksport fans compete in several formats, including head-to-head contests that determine the fastest lock picker. In the so-called Locksport Wizard, each contestant is given a burlap sack containing an identical set of locks and is required to blindly pick them using only tools they have put in the sack.

In other challenges, participants have to pick their way out of handcuffs before attempting to defeat a set of locks. There also are competitions to disassemble locks and reassemble them properly.

This sounds like just the kind of exercise I've been looking for! Maybe I should start my own club.

Sounds fun!
The only lock picking I've ever done is with a combination lock and a coke can. My fingers hurt and my skin was cut and peeling. Not advisable.

Haha, I'd join your club (;
I've never tried lockpicking though. I need to learn!

Oooohhhh.....ever since I read Kiki Strike: Inside the Shadow City, I've picked a few simple locks with paperclips or opened doors with credit cards. Oona is my inspiration! I'd love to join the lock-picking club.

Oona should read that, maybe then she wouldn't have to break her nails.

this has nothing to do with this post(which i enjoyed):
i was bored, so i read some old posts and the interview on teenreads. in one post, you said that you wouldnt know what kind of superhero you would be if you were one, and what your costume would be. i think your power would be against boredom and normalcy, and your costume would definitely be the irregulars uniform, with maybe some large sunglasses (like bettys). and in the interview, you said your grandma was very proper-that just made me think of theodosia throckmortons grandma.

But I wonder if its opened to teenagers or if its one of those "over 18" things. I mean when all the fun stuff is for adults I cant believe people are so surprised when kids are in a hurry to grow up.

Anonymous: "Your power would be against boredom and normalcy." I honestly think that's the most flattering thing anyone has ever said about me! Thank you so much!

Cool! I could finally get back at my brother! Or no, that goes against the principles of the sport... On the other hand, rules are meant to be broken *evil laugh*
