Neat. I'm from Chicago, though. But I bet that Chicago has more amazing graveyards and ghosts. Check out Ursula Bielski's books.

Dentures with a GUN????? I think my teacher told me about the turtle on the runway thing. MY teacher grew up in New York, in a city about two miles from NYC. BUt now she (and I) live in THE SUNSHINE STATE aka, the greatest state in the USA.

Oh MY GO- good gracious! I get it! Funny.

I noticed Missouri wasn't up there. No wonder. I live in MO and I think it is the worst state EVER! I want to live near the ocean. On the beach if possible. A more creative environment for a soon to be author such as my self. A currently unpublished one, but an author nonetheless.

I have heard that NY, NY is the wierdest (weirdest?) city on earth. I have also heard that the only people who don't know this is the people who live there. And that they ignore wierd things when they happen. Apparently the first is incorrect. The second, though, is...debatable.

another cool reason to live in New York!

eq is right, NY is one of the weirdest states and we do know it, and yes the majority of us do ignore it its a force of habit i remember ignoring the weirdest street performers when i was little. I have no idea why but i guess its a mentality "that this stuff is normal", and if you havent noticed, people ignore whats normal.

i just got back from that Irish-stepdancing thing in Philladelphia (we didn't win :( )Were u aware that Philadelphia has the coolest streetart ever!!!!????? i have 2 say its better than NY's!!! And about new yorkers ignoring things, i LOVE to smile @ people on the subway!~ they get soooo scared. and i am not really scary. sorry bout the long post, i've been surrounded by small children all weekend!! AAARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!

Forrester said...

Gnat: I'm telling you Missouri is 100 times worse than Oregon. The weirdest thing that's happened is that no one has tried to pick a fight with me in MONTHS I swear that's a record.

i found the site that made the lists and the weirdest state is florida. i was all like "huh?" because i've only been there once and i happed to be 2. (sad, i know. that was my only trip to disney world.) a few days later, i was surfing the web and saw an article on msn. some women from miami made her boss late for a plane to honduras. to make it up to him/her she called and e-mailed the airport that there was a bomb on the plane in order to delay the flight! florida is crazy

New York is pretty awesome. I might want to live there one day.

~chanel~: Most dangerous, most deadly*, AND most weird? That means Florida should be really exciting to live in, huh?

* For pedestrians.

Forrester said...

~chanel~: you think that's bad? I've seen the White house, been to Florida, South Carolina, Texas, through the VA mountains in the back of my dad's pick-up truck, helped haul wood, that sort of thing and NEVER been on a roller coaster. NEVER! I just recently went into a haunted house for the first time, hadn't heard of a PS2 until 2004 at which point I was seven. I have absolutely no idea how an Mp3 player or i-pod, or whatever the other thing works. I don't own a cell phone(I don't want one) AND, I have never been to ANY form of an amusement park. Now that's sad. Any questions anyone?

~chanel~ said...

forrester- wow. even though i have never been to disney world, i HAVE been on many many rollercoasters. i live near six flags great america and i go up there every summer.

Forrester said...

Yep I know it's sad. I've never even seen Six Flags.

i hate amusement parks. they're too noisy for me, and i don't like going on the rides either. i don't have a cell phone, and i only recently got an ipod, but i don't use it that often(could be because i keep losing it?)
