So Long, Suckas!

A little bird told me that the school year is ending for many of you this week. So . . . how was it? Share your best (or most horrifying) story of the year! Don't be shy. We want the good stuff.

(Just kidding about the suckas part. No indignant emails, please!)

Well my best story happened yesterday! So there I was, minding my own business and using the school restroom, when suddenly, OUT OF NOWHERE, I notice that there's a lot of gang graffiti in one of the stalls. But, the gangsta girls (always showing off their brain cells) had misspelled "South Side". Yeah. They had written "Soth Side". So I strode up, pulled out my trusty Sharpie, and in the lovely style of my Language Arts teacher, I corrected their foolish error. I also gave them an F- because most of that stuff was unreadable anyway. I signed my master work of corrections "The Grammer Nazi". I just hope I don't get jumped, but it was worth it.

Finals are AFTER school ends. So even now I can't be happy that I'm done with everything...COS I'M NOT :P
PS: I have this letter for you all ready to mail. except that I keep forgetting to mail it ._.
PPS: If I put something rather bulky into a flat envelope and stick a USA stamp on it, will it still go through?? hehhehehh...

Thumb Biter said...

Sally: love that story! Actually that's hilarious because just today I was getting a ton of indignant looks from people when I was correcting the grammar on this ad on a subway platform with a sharpie (which I've also started carrying around for that purpose :D)

Kirsten Miller said...

Thumb Biter: Good luck with finals. I can't tell you how glad I am that I'll never go through that again.

As for the envelope . . . how intriguing. And yes, I think it will probably go through.

School is only half way through for us. I still can't get my head around the fact that how can it be normal to start a new schooling year in August/September?!

Our system is very simple. School starts in Febuary, and ends in December.

We have mid year exams, and then end of year exams. I just found out my results >_<

Sally: Haha, I love what you did. XD

We've still got half a year to go...school's ok though. It's pretty fun. We don't have any gangsters at our school, just alot of boys who jump on each other and crash into lockers. Sometimes we make bets on them...heheheh

Ok so here's one. One day in gym we were playing ultimate bean bag. (A VERY stupid game) When this guy in my class ran into the wall and had his head cracked open. There was a ton of blood.( i wanted to see the damage but my gym teacher wouldnt let me)He was on the ground for about 45 minutes. The next day the part of his head was shaved and it was for the rest of the year.

Anonymous said...

This happened last year but oh well. In gym we were doing this roller skating thing and I was going backwards. (bad idea!)I totally tackled this kid who was in the grade above mine. I felt really bad. But I swear after that his friends would follow me around and glare at me. It was the scariest thing ever.
This year a girl who I used to be friends with(now I can't stand her) wanted me to sign her year book. so I signed it "Why am I signing this" she got pretty mad and tired to act tough but didn't succeed. It made my day!

Sally: I love it! Whenever I'm sent an im or a txt that says "your stupid" or something,i say back :"my stupid what?" GREAT story though. I was walking down the hall, and this kid who I am acquainted with but don't really know is walking next to me. Completely out of the blue he says "If I was a unicorn my name would be Charles and all my friends would have really great names like Sir Larcenacent." And then he walks away! He did this with a totally straight face! I can't wait to see him again so that I can respond accordingly.

Some of my favorite stories are:
Sally's
Thumb Biter's (to both-I am a total FREAK about grammar, too!)
Kiki's (I do that too, hence my nickname)
brave chicken- really? cool!
Peacey's-nice.
Pyscopathic Snow Leopard's- 1. Nice name. 2. AWESOME!!!!!
The Anonymous after P.S.L.'s (see above)
dangeous- Wow. I will now need stiches for my side. =D

AND NOW FOR MY STORY!!!!!!!

okay, one, my school had a party for christmas or something, and they had this type of cookies that i absolutley HATE but look like this type of cookie I like. So I took one, and I sat down right next to my crush. I was talking to my friend who was sitting right in front of me, and I took a bite of the cookie (type that I hate), stopped talking, and spit it out ALL OVER my crush. I hid in the bathroom until dismissal. After that, I didn't go to school for 2 days. When I got back, my crush asked me to the winter dance!!!!!! Apparently, he thought it was funny.

THE END!!!!!!

Pretty awesome.

Ahh! I live in NY, so school should be over tomorrow, but there'll be a week of finals. Pooh.

I've covered the art of sneak attacking around my school and am now known as a Ghost. My friends are using me to stalk the enemy. It's actually going pretty well, since I've taken over as "head of operations".

While that above paragraph likely made no sense, here's an example of what I do:

-anonymous notes
-freak pranks
-little surprises here and there (message on an empty desk for the next person who sits there, little post-it notes with smiley faces left around the locker rooms, the art of "prettyism" where I increase the level of attractiveness on unattractive things, per say, peel a 5 gum wrapper and stick the shiny stuff on an ugly surface)
-Hogwarts letters, in random lockers
-Random outbursts

Call me crazy.

Oh, got another one. On the last day of school, I sooort of hugged this guy I kinda-semi like, who for about 1,000,000 reasons I should NOT like. And so of course I ran into him out in public the other day, with some of friends who aren't aware of the aforementioned incident. 8O

ANYWAY:
I have a horrible story. At the begining of the year, I was madley in like with a guy. Anyway, it was pretty obvios he liked me too. So some really annoying girls pestered him until he admitted it, then they screamed it in from of the WHOLE CLASS. Every one turned torwards me expectantly, but I was too scared from everyone looking at me to say that I liked him too. Anyway, he left school early, and whenever I talked to him, he got all sad. So eventually we stopped talking. He was one of my best friends! Why didn't I tell him!!!

we get out next week. but luckily we haven't had homework for the last week or two. anyways, here's my story:

so this week was "spirit week" and to day was a new one called "color day". the two or three class reps. for the student concil chose a color for that grade that they wore today. our grade, 7th got pink. PINK! i mean, seriously, how many 7th graders would wear pink? the answer to that question is a lot. even most of the boys did it. three of my friends didn't like this idea, so they decided to get together and make t-shirts. they bought black shirts and pink fabric paint at the craft store and wrote ANTIPINK on them, with designs of their own. pretty neat idea. i, personaly did not participate in this crazy spirit week(i never do). one more day left(crazy hair day and field day).

School gets out next Thursday for me. One of the best- and craziest- things that happened to me... that's a hard one... Well, last week, my friend Meave and I were waiting for the bell to ring in home ec. and I had this incredibly random outburst. I shouted to the whole class that I loved tater-sp?- tots then ran away screaming like I was possesed. Meave and I couldn't stop laughing and ended up being late for our next class. Smoooth...

Swell Person said...

Oh, I just remembered something else. There's this sports store near my school called Moddels and they have this annoying theme song- one of those songs that get stuck in your head FOREVER- and I had it stuck in my head. My friends and I were in art class together when I started singing the song in a dangerously high- pitched voice- bad idea. I CANNOT sing at all. When I started to sing, the room got eerily quiet. I finished the song and looked up to see everyone staring. Five seconds later, they burst out laughing and I got chewed out by the big fat crankipants of a teacher for talking and interupting her class.

Okay I've got a reallt got school story. In my school we have a fencing class (sword fighting for the french), but you have to sign up for it. I am the only girl in the class by the way, and I'm totally better than all the guys in the class. So anyway, these two guys were talking and were arguing. There both holding sabers (which is like the fencing sword) and the one guy is known for having anger issues. Suddenly the guy with the anger issues swings at the other guy with his saber and the next thing I know there swinging at each other big time. The one with some major agression. I have no clue where the teacher was, but the rest of the class is just watching, nobodys dumb enough to try to stop to guys with swords hacking at each other. Then finally the guy with the anger issues gets close enough and hits the other guy in the back of the head with his metal wrist guard. Basically he uppercut the other guy in the back of his head with a piece of sharp metal in his hand. There was blood all over the floor, but as soon as the anger managment guy sees the blood he drops his saber, the teacher decides to show up then, and anger managment guy runs from the room. Turns out the hit who was hit needed twenty stitches, and anger managment guy got ten days suspension. That was an exciting day!

uhhh something semi-scary happened to me the other day, i was coming from a friends house in Brooklyn and i hopped on the G train, well there was also a big group of guys who got on with me. At first they were just whispering amongst themselves when they walked in a single file down the other way of the train. They stopped infront of this other guy said i few inaudible words then promptly started to beat him up, i dont think they were a gang since they didnt seem to have a distinct gang color. The majority of the people got up and moved to the corner for safety reasons. They continued beating him up until what i think was an off-duty cop stopped them.Luckily the train was pulling up to a station and they got off.

What was a bit funny and cynical was that in true New York fashion, the people sat back down like nothing happened.

Ok,so one day the boys in my class were having a fight where they would throw Ziploc bags filled with water at each other. They would go up to you with the bag and say"Who is my friend" and everyone would say"ooooh I am",because they had a bag full of water. Then one kid got carried away and went into the bathroom to fill a bag with water. When he was in there, the teacher came out and busted the rest of them.So the kid came out with a giant shopping bag of water and said "Who's my friend NOW?"(He didn't notice the teacher)Then the teacher just looked at him and he said "oops" and the teacher made all the boys go inside. It was extremely funny.

OK well my best story was that school was over and my friends and I wanted to do something really weird. You know, so we could leave our mark on the school. So we did sweet-and-sour to all the cars that drove up, and then we started spinning and dancing on the tennis courts! SO MUCH FUN! After that we took really odd things like drain plugs and rolls of tape and spools and made them into necklaces. We called them the "utility talismans'!

School ends for me next week. It was my 8th grade year and one of my hardest, not to mentio most interesting, yet. I fluctuated friendships with this girl i just can't figure out. I've joined- and quit- the drama cub several times. I've dealt with so much he said she said crap it's not even funny. and i found a guy i thought was cute.
But the funny thing is, my year book sid 'if these wals could taalk' but the truth is, if they could, it woud be prettty ugly.

this happened last year but anyway:
we were on a walk in P.E because it just rained and we didnt want to go inside. anyway 2 girls rang an old lady's doorbell and ran ofcourse. but the old lady freaked out and apparently called the police she came and told our teacher they had to walk with him. after that people said (to freak out the gullible) that a man with a gun was walking behind us. we find out it was a man with a hoe most likely on a neighborhood watch we get back and the girls get in a lot of trouble and offer to walk around the neighborhood picking up trash. some people freaked out when the police woman came...

yay! a school's out post. okay... let me think, yes i remember on the last day of school, my friends and i slept at the school. we got permission from the principal and our parents, so it was good bye bed and hello hallways. ha-ha, you see my school is being rebuild, so they are going to knock down the building we used this year, so we all thought it would be really cool if our old school was used in a horror movie, it is so scary, especially when it is empty and dark. But there was eight of us awesome girls, and we raided the vending machines, play instruments in the band room, colored in the art room, oh, and the librarian let us read books till eight, because that is when she left and locked up the library, sigh, you got to love a good blast to an awesome summer. sorry about the long post!!! -LD

Awww Maaaaannn
Something bad really happened this year. I'll try to make it as short as I can:
This year, My grade had to read "The Outsiders" (Actually, I didn't because I'm in advanced comm arts class and got to choose the book I wanted to read. I chose a book by Agatha Christie). Anyway, one day was a half day (I live a little ways from STL and we have wierd school agendas), and my grade was all crammed into a lecture room, and we had to watch "The Outsiders". My crush (very first one,at that) was sitting in one seat, and i was sitting across the aisle and was facing the left side of his seat. I was soooo happy that i could just stare at him instead of watching that movie. When they stopped the movie for a b-room break, guess what happened? I notice he's holding hands and snuggling with the girl next to him!!!! What's worse is that i chewing on popcorn, and when I saw them, I started gagging and spit alllll the popcorn out of my mouth on accident!!!! Oh, the irony!!!!!!! But I don't like him anymore now.8-0

The Godmother- that sounds so sad. i was at my cousin's senior year graduation and i saw this book from my elementary. it was weird because in 6th grade i had a crush on him and he knew that. he was sitting a few blocks away and i stared at him while the teachers were calling the students names. he didn't see me until everyone was leaving, i could tell he was shell-shocked and that he wanted to leave, but i am over him, and when he saw me, i waved and he turned red... that made my day. hehehehehe.

so at my school on the last day of school, we have something we call teacher idol. all i have to say is that IT'S TORTURE! only one teacher could actually sing. she won, naturally. the funnist parts were when the 8th grade judges made comments. my teacher this year won the teacher idol last year, so he played a song as the winner from last time. i wonder who will win next year. proboly either the one who sang "you are my sunshine"(she go the comment "who let this dying walrus into the studio?") or the teacher who did a song that i think was called the chickens in the sky.

Well... I had a crush on this guy (his code name shall be...Passon) and he was in my enriched english class. It was near the beginning of the year and everything was going good. Well I did have troubles when I was resting my feet on the little book holder in the desk in front of me (you know the ones in high school and middle school) and my foot got STUCK!

Well I got one foot free and was pushing against the book holder and Passon next to me noticed. So he put his foot over there adn started to try to help out. Well everything about it was okay until my teacher looked over and said, "Are you two playing footsie", his face turned red, my friends tell me mine did, and I stuttered to explain what was going on.

So my teacher came to my desk and saw my foot troubles and then had me take off my shoe and then she took the shoe out. Well it was all pretty embarrassing.

But that's my story! Thanks for listening, other than that I think things at school ended nicely!

PadfootBlack: Interesting about the library books. I recently found the first 2 clues of a treasure hunt of some kind in my city library, handwritten on purple paper folded in an inimitable pattern.
