Catching Up With the Animal Kingdom

From time to time, it's nice to check in with our animal friends and see what they've been up to.

1600 pandas took over Paris. (See above.)

Apparently backyard chickens are now all the rage. (This one's for you, Irregular Kiki.)

Pigeon towers of the world. Ah, the things people will do for a little pigeon poo.

Myostatin mutants are not monsters! (See below.)

Squid now have elbows. Next up: Opposable thumbs.

Fourteen snakes invade a woman's bedroom. (From the "Only in Australia" files.)

CHICKENS! Me love, love, love. {Hehe, I've been part of the craze for quite a while now. Chickens:Intelligent, Cuddly and Tasty-looking.)

(Yes, they're very intelligent. My chickens know how to do many remarkable things, like finding their way out of the house to go outside or how to answer questions regarding their Faith.)

Ananka!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!! I love this chicken website! It's one of the most informative chicken websites I've seen. When I read things like this, it makes me feel so comfortable knowing about the benefits of chickens.

I got my chickens when they were chicks and they used to fly on my shoulders and my arms while I was crouched on the ground. They used to SLEEP there! And there were like ten of them.

When they grew up, Little Yellow Friend still used to fly on my shoulders to sleep, and she flew on my head to clean her feathers!! And sometimes they used to go for adventures, by flying over the fence and coming home by bedtime!!! (I took a photo once, when I caught them sneaking out. I'll post it on my blog soon.)

I think I'll just do a post on my blog about all this chicken stuff, it goes on forever, 'cause it's too nice.

[These holidays, it's my goal to persuade my family to buy more chickens/chicks. It's been over 6 months and I'm not doing well.]

Also, my chickens used to chase my cats! When my cats sprinted, the chickens started flying, trying to keep up with them! Jubjub, the cute, fat, fluffy, big baby once eyed my cat innocently sitting in the corner and she ran at him like a bull! It was so cute!!!!!!!!
(Sorry for talking so much about chickens. I miss them so much and dying to get more!)

BTW: That muscley dog in the picture looks like it can play in the New Moon movie as Jacob, in the Twilight series. Hehe.

Also, check out this website.
I call them...

Irregular Kiki: My mother wants chickens. But it's against the law to have them where we live. Darn you, city limits!!

That is all really really really reall cool! The dog is sort of sad though.

I used to keep chickens when I lived on a farm. Sometimes they slept in my hair!

undiscovered universe: That is so cute! My once's couldn't balance on my head, so they could only stand on it and clean themselves, not sit. Sometimes they even dug my hair with their beak and feet. I love it when they do that!
