Archaeologists excavating an ancient burial ground in the Czech Republic recently unearthed the remains of one of the world's first "vampires." The 4,000-year-old grave was found set apart from neighboring burials, and the gentleman inside was weighed down with stones that had been placed on his head and chest.
The experts believe these measures were taken to prevent his corpse from rising and walking the earth. Similar graves have been discovered throughout Ireland and Scotland, where ancient Celts also feared the bloodsucking hordes.

4,000-year-old vampire graves are creepy, sure. But even creepier were the models at the latest fashion show from British designer Alexander McQueen. (My favorite below.) Seems the "undead" look is quite trendy these days!

Cool. I've been really into vampires recently, among other supernatural things. I've almost finished Darkside by Tom Becker, and I got Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer yesterday and I'm already about halfway through. Both are very good books, I highly recommend them. :)
The model looks like some of the movie characters that Johnny Depp has played as.

Haha! Thats true about the model thing. That is waaaayyyy... more creepy than 4,000 yr old vampires. Vampires are getting a little...to famous. What next? Im not sure I want to get that Answer!

I am blaming Twilight for the vampire obsessed morons in the world. Not like vamps aren't cool - they totally are - but stuff about them is EVERYWHERE.

I have ALWAYS been obsessed with vampires, before Twilight came out. I think the books are ok, but can't hold a candle to the Kiki Strike series! ;) I still don't think we should just... insult it. Even though it has reached cult level. And some huge fans are kinda annoying....
