Glow in the Dark Fungi
(Above: I love the cute little mushroom-like creatures from Princess Mononoke.)
Once again, hats off to the nation of Japan. It is truly the land of awesome. Forget fugu and soy sauce candy. As you'll soon learn, even their mushrooms are amazing.
During the rainy season, little green lights appear in the dark, damp forests of Japan. Believe it or not, the mushrooms are glowing. (See below.) I'd like to think that they're marking paths for woodland spirits or fairies, but apparently there's a much more "logical" explanation. Find out here if you choose, or stick with me and keep an eye out for fairies.

That is so weird. Not the glowing mushrooms, but the first picture. Me and my sister were just talking about Princess Mononoke a few minutes before this was posted. Talk about eerie. o_O

She Who Must Not Be Named: I've heard of David Fermer! (Actually I've met him because he's friends with my former German teacher.) I haven't read "Rats," but I've read "Nonstop Fussball" and "Nonstop Survival," which are bilingual books.
I'll stick with you about the fairys. :)
pfhhhisb, logic. I reject your reality and substitue it with my own.
I totally love the movie "Princess Mononoke". Plus those mushrooms are cute in a weird kind of way.
Those mushroom spirits are so cute. =) I love Miyazaki movies.
That is so cute! I'd love to go camping there.
