Dr. Edgar Mitchell is a renowned American astronaut--and one of the few people who've had the chance to walk on the moon. Now, at age 77, he's decided to add world-class bean-spiller to his resume as well.
In a recent interview, Dr. Mitchell claimed that extraterrestrials have made several trips to our planet. And each time they pay us a visit, the government simply covers it up.
But WHY? According to Mitchell, though the aliens boast technology far superior to ours, they pose no threat to humankind. Perhaps officials are worried that the extraterrestrials' creepy looks (small bodies and over-sized eyes) would scare the general public.
Whatever the reason, their secret is OUT. According to Mitchell:
"I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real. It's been well covered up by all our governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it's leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.
"I've been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes - we have been visited. Reading the papers recently, it's been happening quite a bit."

Yeah right! I totally believe in aliens (it's my opion that its compltly dumb not to, we can't be the only life in a universe that strethches on FOREVER!) But I think this guy is just making it up to get attention. I mean, it's totally possible that the government is hiding it, but then why would they tell anyone, especially a 77 year old who could loosen his tounge anytime, forgetting that it's a secet (no offense but is a 80 year old reall reliable in memory things?)!! Plus, if the government could cover it up this long, they would have stoped him from spilling the beans. Or stoped the media for covering the story! Further more, her claims the aliens have been visteting for over 60 years, you think someone would of noticed by now, it's just not plausable.

Sekrit7: LOL! I'm afraid I must defend the elderly. Some of them have excellent memories. But I think your point is good: If the government had kept it covered up this long, they could probably keep his mouth shut, too.
I know aliens exist, it's just conceited or ignorant to think that we are the only ones in the universe. But I think that Sekrit7 has a good point. I don't think his memory is lax, but it is possible he is lying.
Sekrit7, I sorta agree with you. Old people do have memory problems [Alzheimer's disease, I've seen many old people with that problem...] and they make up stuff, have hallucinations, and alot of other things. [my grandpa thinks he's 20... ^^'] But I saw the video yesterday and I don't really think Dr. Mitchell has that problem... But you never know...
Maybe he's just... really sad. I mean, he went to the freakin MOON!! which is like the most amazing thing, then he has to come back and live a normal non-amazing life. Maybe the sadness was too much and cracked his brains and he had to reach for something even bigger than going to the moon and revealing the aliens would be that bigger thing.
That's just my thought about why the astronaut might be wrong or lying, if he is. I don't know if he is or not; I know there are aliens out there but my mental jury is still out on whether any of them have visited Earth.

When there were all those UFO sightings in Stephenville, Texas recently there were also videos and reportings that the most high tech U.S government jets available were tailing these strange objects racing through the sky, and almost (but not) breaking the sound barrier... even while the government was rejecting any idea of aliens, and scoffing at the people who claimed they had seen one. However, the government were the only people who had any access whatsoever to a jet like this. So... this leads me to believe that this guy is neither sad, nor, crazy, or lying... well you see what I mean :D

NO WAY!!! Ananka, where did you pick up the mind-reading thing? My dad and I were talking about this yesterday. Well, sort of. We were discussing my deep dislike of all things having to do with the FBI, the CIA, the Secret Service, and the governing forces of the US Military(I have nothing against the Armed Forces in general, but I wish they'd just 'fess up instead of denying the blatently obvious. I mean, come on, how stupid do they think we are!), and I said as much to him, and he sided with the military! I agree with dangerous, I'd rather be concerned than in the dark.

Interesting how Dr. Mitchell becomes violent when confronted with evidence of the Moon Landing Hoax, but yet believes in ETs.
The fact is that Mitchell is doing duel-duty in both the new and the old phases of cover-up for the Militarization of space -- most likely for the purposes of controlling, tracking, and one day deceiving the world's population.
There is no doubt that real craft and beings (supernatural) do exist, along with large holograms of deception. So the phenomenon is real, and not imaginary. But even Von Braun, lead rocket scientist of our military and later NASA warned us that like the elite-manufactured, fake dichotomies of communist-capitalist, Axis-Allies, and today's inside-job terrorism, the final false paradigm will be a fake alien threat, generated by the elite (Google "Endgame Blueprint").
So let's not loose sight of the fact that NASA has lied and continues do so, whether it be their falsified data on global warming or the fake Apollo program since before the death of the Apollo 1 crew.
i agree with sekrit7 he could just be doing this to get famous and make an international bestseller out of it, but i know that in the history of aircraft, there have been unexplained sightings, like my great-uncle, who saw a UFO they circled it, but in a few seconds, it took off straight into the sky so fast that even their radar coudln't track it. he told us at my great aut's funeral. he said that when he reported it, he had to keep his mouth shut for a certain number of years, so maybe that's the same deal with this guy too. he went to area 51 also, but he was never alowed to tell us about that
the fact is that aliens do visit our planet. they have been visiting us since ancient times. even alexander the great saw them and in one of his diaries he commented on them as silver shields in the sky. while out in the sea christopher columbus also saw them. he also remarked that the ufos presence made his compass spin wildely. even if we dont belive in the accounts of these great men then recently scientists have recovered caves which are full of fossiles of many animals such as the camels and wolfs bearing surgical marks and grooves made from metallic instruments, the main catch is that these bones date back to the period even before humans appeared. the recent sightings of aliens include the sightings by wwii fighters from both the allied sides and the germen sides, these ufos were so common to those fighters that they called them foo-fighters. nowdays ufos are a common phenomena and one sighting is reported every 1 min from all over the world and the interesting part is that govt points out hundereds of various secret missons to make the general public think that they are the most advanced forms of life on earth! there is so much secrecy that after the blunder of the moon landing mission (the astronauts saw ufos on moon and there ufo report leaked on the earth) that nasa clearly instructed all of its astronauts to use the term santa claus if they saw something as a ufo, even one astronaut used this term when he was speaking to the nasa about his stay in space, but as planned the citizens watching the live broadcast failed to comprehend {google for the astronauts name}. what i think is that the govt is so secretive because it knows that the aliens visiting earth are very advanced and no one can predict when they will declare war on humans, so the govt wants to be on the safer side, they are pretending as though aliens do not exist so that if one day these creatures attack or abuct us the govt can camly say that they didnt knew that these creatures existed and so could not protect its citizens against the attack. my other theory is that in this defragmated world where every country wants to destroy another a country having alien tech can rule the world and so a govt might have signed a pact with aliens, that they transfer tech the govt dsnt interfere with there matter of roaming earth freely. and might be included a no discloser policy. if ufos visit earth it might be for some reason, many think that they come for surveying the earth, or they might be scouting for a definate time for taking over earth. maybe waiting for third world war to start? or maybe they are waiting for humans to mature enough that they are really cool and want interplanetry peace? but then we cannot speculate until govt opens up their fat mouths and declare that life beyond earth exists and has been visting us since the birth of the first human. meanwhile many witness who had a CE-3 encounter describe them as human likes or grays this has also added weight to the story that aliens might be our distant relatives visting us through time machines or maybe we evolved from aliens who due to some reasons became stranded on earth{darwins theory of evolution has not been able to fully explain the origin of humans, scientists have yet not been able to find a crucial intermediate species, can it be an alien species??}, whatever be the case all the humanity is waiting for a day when a saucer lands on earth, an alien comes out and tells the world that his purpose is peace, maybe that day wil come in 100 yrs but i am sure it wil come oneday.
