It's Coming for You Next!

Did you ever think you'd see an octopus walk on dry land? This is a terrifying development for all of us who live near water.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! (And thanks for the link, Olivia!)

  3. I have a six step plan of defense against Walktopus:

    1. Cutting Board
    2. Fillet knife
    3. Batter
    4. Breadcrumbs
    5. A full bottle of cooking oil
    6. Frying pans -- one for every burner of the stove

  4. That is so strange because in art class we had to create a sculpture and mine was... AN OCTOPUS WHO IS WALKING ON LAND! If you want to see it click on my name and then Chickas! I have pictures there.

  5. @Robert: You would eat somebody as clever as that? Somebody who can do awesome things like squeeze through a hole the size of a thumb? Somebody who can do mazes and puzzles without a spine? A poor orphan that never knew his parents? Sir, you shock me.

...Somebody with friends who can walk on land too?

    *creepy laugh*

  8. I heard that a lot of sightings of the Loch Ness Monster were on land. Maybe the walktopus copied her.

  9. Dear EQ:

If an octopus walks on land, then they can handle my world infamous chipotle/cilantro dipping sauce after frying.

  12. Admittedly, I have never seen an octopus walk on land (though they are quite intelligent, they even use tools). Not octopi, but I have seen leeches worm their way up rocks towards us (their prey). Unfortunately for said leeches (it has happened several times), I took a long stick and shoved it back into its native element.
