Sara, a fifteen-year-old high school student in NJ, recently
posted the photo above. It shows a graffiti-covered bathroom stall in her school. But this isn't just any old graffiti. It's the entire first chapter of
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
I can only imagine the dedication, passion, and total insanity that went into this project. The person responsible is a great philanthropist and a friend of all mankind.
As far as I'm concerned, this is an ingenious decoration. BTW, one of the gags from the russian comedy «Operation Y» is based on a similar principle.
ReplyDeletePS.
Shame on me… I'm last in the poll =(
They should never erase that! Haha, that's so cool! I would just sit in the stall and read Harry Potter, all day! Someone should add the rest of the book. ;)
ReplyDeleteI want to go to school there!
ReplyDeletewell we NJ people aren't all just oompa loompa look a likes we are insane and passionate enough to do this! she is my hero!
ReplyDeleteWhoa...
ReplyDeleteThat's...
...bizarre. And yet, awesome. In a strange, obsessive, mind-bogglingly insane way.
I love it.
I love that person
ReplyDeleteCool! Harry Potter is my second favorite series (right after Kiki Strike)! Wow, that must have taken a lot of hard work...
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome, not that I'm a big Harry Potter fan. Once there was a sign on our school bathroom door that said- Closed due to grafitti. It was pretty funny. :)
ReplyDeleteWhoever did that was awesome!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That's actually really cool. I think that will be interesting when the kids in the time 2050 get to read that.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for the odd people in our world who make it exciting and spontaneous xD
ReplyDeletethat. is. amazing.
ReplyDeletedoes anyone else think it'd be funny if they put a sign on the door of that stall that said "do not disturb moaning myrtle" or something like that? i mean, yeah, she doesn't appear 'til book two, but still.
LOL that's amazing! I wish that was my school haha. Not that we even use the showers :P
ReplyDeletePS: OMG L IS ALIVE!! I knew he faked his death to reveal Kira (;
That is generally the greatest thing ever...
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought *I* was an obsessive Harry Potter fan.
If I wasn't so sure I'd get caught, I'd love to do this myself... :D
This. Is. So. Cool!
ReplyDeleteIn the stalls at my school we have poetry and song quotes... but no books... sigh.
First of all: that is so awesome, I love Harry Potter! And second: you know how you hate squirrels? Well, the other night I had a strange dream in which it was like a squirrels mind had invaded my body. Not the strangest dream I've had, by far, but still...pretty weird and very disorienting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Bellissima.
ReplyDeletesome one probably started it then people would add to it.
ReplyDeletebut thats still soooooooo cool, even though I'm not a big harry potter fan.
i should write the first chapter of kiki strike in a bathroom stall. ;)
For some reason I'm unable to get to the Kiki Strike website. It's possibly just my computer (it's old), but I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem?
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was "How often do they clean that bathroom?" Anyone else think that?
ReplyDeleteRobert in San Diego, otherwise awestruck by the diligent execution of the plan.
So cool I'm not a big Harry potter fan (my family founded a church so) I read Percy Jackson and Kiki strike (DUH!) and pretty much everything that doesn't have a pink cover. And yeah I would write a chapter of Kiki strike in every stall in this huge rest stop on the way to my grannies house and it would be awesome
ReplyDeleteOh my... I hope they keep it there...
ReplyDeleteOf course if you want to start small we've got all those stories under 250 words posted recently. No, I'm not inciting vandalism. Honest.
ReplyDeleteRobert in San Diego
EPIC WIN, THIS PERSON...!
ReplyDeleteRobert in San Diego: You, dear sir, are a genius. You deserve a medal.
ReplyDeleteDear Narrator:
ReplyDeleteTo be serious, if a high school wanted to put some class in their bathroom reading, they'd just have stencils of the Pythagorean Theorem, Gettysburg Address, "Mending Wall" by Robert Frost, etc. done up and paint them by the toilet paper dispensers.
Alternately, if they had given up on the whole graffiti prevention thing, they could just institute a "chalk only" rule and redo the stalls in chalkboard paint. I'm not bragging here, but I used to use The Worm Ouroboros as a signature for stuff I did with a Sharpie....
Robert in San Diego
I love whoever did that.
