The Lamp That Runs on Human Blood

Mike Thompson has designed a single-use lamp (shown above) that runs on human blood. The project was designed to help people realize just how precious energy is. More here.

Also precious and icky? Spider silk. Click here to see the largest piece of cloth ever woven out of the excretions of arachnids.

  6. Hey people, wanna know how to make a fakeblood/ph tester? HEEEEEEERE it is -
Boil one large red cabbage chopped into small pieces until water turns scarlet.
Thats it. It will stink up a house and give you Monteczumas revenge backwards if ingested, but it works. But you all knew that already, right?

  7. I would definitely get that lamp, if not the fact it only works once. (Also, the fact I have no idea how to buy it.)

  8. On top of that, it would probably get awfully tiresome to be constantly pricking yourself.

  13. ANONYMOUS: It's so sad, people take serious things so lightly, not thinking about the consequences.
Earth is the only planet we have to live on. If and when Earth is destroyed, what will happen?
